I am using the coolbits utility through the NVidia control panel and the program suggested running the memory at 900Mhz and core at 300Mhz

Doesn't 900 seem way to high for this card?

Anyway it's an old card, I figured I didnt have much to lose...so I tried it and ran CoH and gained 6 fps..and the card seemed rock solid. I played the game for a couple of hours.

Am I interpreting something wrong here or what? 900Mhz??? I think the manufacture default is 400Mhz??

some forceware versions have a glitch - they report mem clock to be double of the actual. ( I mentioned it in one of the topics sometime ago).
I kinda doubt that it jumped a few hundred megahertz.

depends - some versions report the actual RAM frequency, others report the DDR 'effective' clock speed.
I'd say your cards does 300/450. Nice.

and some report double the effective. You'd agree that a 6600GT can't run at 2200 mhz accroding to Nvidia control panel?
