Pop up ads

For the last few days I get random pop-up ads on the THG with a 'popping' sound.

Is this a new 'feature' or am I having a weird bug ?

Tom's, if this is a feature...bad idea.
The popping sound when the Ad opens makes everyone around me look up...
so I can not safely surf THG at work anymore (HINT . . . HINT) :-(
