Redirection: Exclusive My Documents

Quick question about using "exclusive" option on My Documents folder
redirection. Will this preclude backups from running? I notice that the
"SYSTEM" account still has access, so does this mean backups will still run
on these folders? What if I am using Backup Exec and it's set to use the
Administrator account to authenticate?

Please let me know if I should be concerned about this. Thanks.

Your backup Exec will have the required rights to back
this folder up. To be sure check the backup log to see
what file was skipped due to "denied access".

Hi Tim,

Thank you for posting!

According to my understanding, only Service can be granted to run under
System account. If you manually run the backup Exec, by default, it should
use the logon user to run the application. You can use "Runas" command if
you want to run the application in another user account.

I hope that I have explained clearly. Have a good day!

Thanks & Regards,
