Wireshark Questions

hello,

i have been toying around w/ wireshark. i can capture packets no prob, but can't make heads/tails of what i capture. i've been testing in on my home network, which to say the least, it moderatly secure. been trying to see if i could recover any of my logon p/w for mail and other sites. no luck. any suggestions?

also, is there a way to config the wireshark install, that when installed, you can intiate remote to capture packets and transmit the packets to a remote location?

anyway. some might cringe at these questions, but trust me, my ability so far lies w/in being able to install and run the program, thats it.
