old system vs new system...

Hi,
I actually have a pentium 4 2.4 ghz, radeon 9800 pro and 1 gig of ram. I plan to change this for a core 2 duo e6400, 1 gig of ram (and put one more in 2 or 3 months)and a geforce 7900gs.

I play games, use ofiice suite and a buit of photoshop. Will I see a big difference in the performance ? Or should I wait any longer ?

HUGE difference. Depending on what kind if gfx card you gave in your current rig.

Oh, i forgot to mention taht i actually have a radeon 9800 pro..which isn't a bad card...

For games you will see a big difference.
The Photoshop application it's self is not multithreaded, (Unless you have CS2, I think I read somewhere it is) but it can use the 2 cores simultaneously for simply rendering. You will see a nice overall speed increase in Photoshop as the core duo is simply a much faster processor, and a big speed increase rendering images. More memory will also help. 1 gig I would consider as a bare minimum.
