There are no 8600 Ultra benchmarks and it hasn't even been confirmed yet.

I got a x1950xt cause i was running on integrated, it was cheap ($220 on Newegg). There wont be many dx10 games this year(those that do come out will have dx9 compatibility). And by the time developers switch to dx10 there will be much better cards. If you have an ok card now wait, if you cant play anything at descent settings get the x1950xt

Since there is not benchmarks, we can't tell you yet.

Once benchmarks come out, then we can compare.

Still, G80 gets fantastic performance in DX9. Can't wait to see how DX10 performs!
