Cheap Desktop Cases

Forum CPU & Components : Power Supplies, Cases & Mods Cheap Desktop Cases

Hello,

In the process of pricing out my new system and I am really considering a desktop case as opposed to a tower. I figure it'd be more convenient and take up less space to stack my light LCD on top of a descent desktop case.

Now the problem is that I can't seem to find any affordable desktop cases anymore whereas I can find a descent tower for < $50.

Every desktop case I seem to find is martketed towards media center applications and not actual desktop use.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Matt

i feel your pain

desktop computers went out of style 10 years ago.

FYI most desktop computers that are stiull built use odd sized equiptiment.
Unless you go into the media pc boxes most horizontal cases cant fit a full size PSU or graphics or PCI cards

try one of those premade cube pc's

Right now I am just exploring my options. I just really have a dream of having a full atx case...that fits all standard components.

I really would just love to have my dvd drives right infront of me and my lcd sitting ontop of the case.

There HAS to be a few out there.

ohhh I do like. Looks like it fits standard parts. I may have to measure my vid card first tho.

Only problem I see is bad USB placement. They really should have put them on the face of the case. I guess can be a non-factor if I just use the ports on the mobo.

Does anyone have any xp with this case?

Thanks for the links....still looking for more options.

Check your temps with HWMonitor, Core Temp or RealTemp. SpeedFan seems to be wrong more...
