Hello, I love Tom's Hardware, excellent site and I absolutely understand that you need to sell advertising space to cover costs/profit etc. However the embedding of the 'Tech News TV Show' is annoying beyond comprehension. Given I am usually listening to radio/music when surfing, every time I click a link from Google to your site the 'Tom's hardware' tab starts making a bloody racket in the back ground. I could hunt through the page to pause it, but it is just easier to close the tab and stop using your site (defeats the whole point of advertising really). I only tollerated the annoyance and hit pause in order to send this message and say it has come up probably 5 or 6 times today and I have now gotten pretty good at filtering out Tom's Hardware when scanning Google results. Please stop this, the ads are fine, but noise pollution is simply unacceptable. Google search audio adverts and you will see there is a wealth of research covering how ineffective it is an how much damage it has done to some sites.

Please stop these relentless videos. The sound pollution makes Tom's hardware utterly intolerable!

Goodness imagine my delight when I missed a link today and clicked through to Tom's hardware just to find that the annoying video was now be pre-fixed with an advert for a film and that the pause button has been disabled so now you can't even stop the intrusion!

Utterly superb, very well done, just when I thought this insanity could not become more messed up!

There were some persistent video issues originating for users in the UK version of Tom's Hardware, and I've spoken to the ad guys about these and they know of the problem. We're working to fix the issue and to make sure this doesn't happen again.
