What's up with this chipset temp in the BIOS monitor? It shows 64C and I haven't even started overclocking yet. I wanted to check to see if it was a mistake so I out my finger on the NB heatsink and it was pretty hot. I don't know how I am expected to O/C this thing if it is burning hot already at stock voltage. Is this normal?

that seems a bit high. Mine runs at 55C under load with semi-direct airflow. Are you watercooling?? Does the NB have any airflow?
Im using the smart guardian software included with the MOBO to measure temps.

No I'm running one 120mm fan at the front of my case and another at the back. Also I have an 80mm fan just to exhaust the output of the 8800GTS (which blows hot air below it).

Actually the 64C was when the case was open, with a closed case and all those fans I get 67C. I might have to figure something out in terms of remounting the NB heatsink with Arctic Silver 5 if it impedes my overclocking.

Thanks for your reply!

I popped the heatsink off, cleaned it off good, took off the foam spacer, and put some artic silver on. I started to get a feel for overclocking this morning. @ 3.4 ghz the NB temp got up to 59 under 100 load.
