Is there a way to check if comm 1 is still working?

Check if it still does the same things as it used to do when it was
working?
If it doesn't then you can probably assume it isn't working.

My PPC Phone Edition uses COM1 for my external GPS hardware and connections.
In order to do that, I needed to turn off IR Beaming. ie.
START>SETTINGS>CONNECTIONS>BEAM and then uncheck the box.
Try Beaming or receiving a Beam from someone.
I have no idea what else COM1 is used for, that's just my experience.

My IR Beaming is on Comm 2.

I have a GPS program that quit working that uses Comm 1.
