Hi im an OC noob and i got a stupid question:

i'm thinking about building a computer that will be compatible with Quad core in the future when the price comes down(quad core compatible mobo for now), so i am thinking about getting PC2-6400 800mhz ram for the pc that way i can OC the quadcore when it comes out since it runs on same frequency as E6300.
But for now i just want to use a cheap E4300 CPU, so my question is can i use 800mhz ram to OC the E4300 cpu or do i HAVE TO use a lower frequency Ram to OC the E4300 cuz it runs at such a low frequency? if i can, do i have to adjust any thing on the 800 mhz ram? like timing etc? any help is appreciated thx!

you will be able to use the 800mhz ram with the e4300 and you will be able to OC
the ram will just be underclocked to match the FSB speed

you shouldnt have to adjust anything with it

what MB do you have planned?

the Asus P5B-E is a good choice
