Hey there.
I finally decided that my current rig was getting a little dated, and am going to get a new one.

Anyway i was thinking along the lines of the following.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Geforce 8800 GTX
1GB DDR2-800 x2 (would settle for DDR2-667 if its more cost effective)
600 Watt PSU, ATX

I want to keep my 250 gig IDE hdd and my DVD drive.

Anyway i know little about motherboards, im no hardware expert.

So anyway it would be much appreciated for some advice on which motherboard to get for this set up.

Im not concerned about having 2 pci-e slots, 1 will do just fine.
Like i put earlier i will settle for ddr2-667 if it will make a reasonable difference in price.

I dont want the most expensive board on the market that meets these requirements, i would like to be as cost effective as possible, its costing me enough already . :?

So just something that is reasonably stable and reliable would be great.

If you have any other advice on my intended set up please feel free to make any comments you like.

Thanks alot guys.

i see that it has 2 pci-express slots. would the fact that it has 2 slots and supports sli bump up the price?

ok perhaps ill have to bite the bullet and budget a bit more for a new hdd.
how much would say a 250 gig drive cost?

and keeping that in mind would you have any other motherboard suggestions?
