Hi. I'm looking for a low-profile card (will be fitting into a GIGABYTE GA-965GM-S2 mATX board). I want a card that can handle high definition content and display it onto a 37" LCD HDTV. I heard a lot of good things about the Radeon X1950 PRO, but is that a bit overboard for HD content?

I don't know about being a low profile card. Everytime I hear about a low profile card, I think about that mx ones or the 6200 :) as for buying a 1950 for hd content, I thing that's throwing money away. try to get a lower 1xxx series.

It's not an overkill, but I'm not aware of any X1950Pro's in a low profile. Why do you need low profile? What case are you using? Your other consideration is that, if you are going to be playing HD content, you need an HDCP capable video card. This is a good card for your purpose, though a bit under-powered for gaming:

It's not only HDCP certified, but it has an HDMI port, as well. For the latest take on playing HD content, read this article:

I plan on housing my rig in an Ultra MicroFly cube case. Thanks for the links!

That case looks like it will take a full height card. Read one review where the OP put a ATI AIW card in his.
