I've been seeing alternative video card drivers (like ngo and omegadrivers) mentioned everywhere. Right now I'm using the latest NVidia drivers. Are these any worth it? I haven't found any benchmarks comparing drivers anywhere.

I can't believe someone other than nvidia can make better drivers for there own hardware.

If it ain't broken don't fix it!

if you had an ati card i would have recommended you to try omegadrivers, as a former ati card owner i know from experience they are by far better than gay ati drivers.

the last ati driver i used was 6.11 (i think) and with omegadrivers i had fewer glitches/crashes. but f*** that, i got 8800gts now

I know where you're coming from, I've almost talked myself into getting an 8800 but not the GTS version  Just waiting to see what ATI come up with. They do make some good cards (sometimes)

They're not really "made" as they're more modded versions of the original drivers. Some of them are just tweaked (optimized settings) versions of the original driver while others are drivers with features put back in that were removed by nVidia/ATI.
