Hey guys, i was thinkin about pickin up a 2gig set from a place in town, its DDR2-800 Super Talent Memory with 5-5-5-15 timings. I was curious if anyone had heard good things or bad things, also if anyone had any experience. The guy at the store did pop it into my board and it posted fine, so i know it will work.

Also, i was hoping to do some OC'ing, but the 2gb set of corsair 4-4-4-12 stuff i bought was DOA, and frankly i dont want to wait ~3 weeks to get a replacement. So i was thinking of just taking the 15% hit on the refund from zipzoom, and picking up this super test memory.

Its an e6600 core 2 duo with stock heatsink, (i bought a tuniq tower 120, but it was about 3/4 of an inch too tall), i wasnt looking for anything uber. Honestly was hoping to get close to 3ghz, but that would be about the extent of it. My question then is how far along do you think i could get with the slower timings on this super talent memory?

Either way, appreciate all your help guys.

Well heres a reivew that Anandtech did on some Super talent ram.

But for 3Ghz OC you would only need some DDR2 667 sticks because the E6600 multiplier of 9 times the FSB 333 would equal 2.997Ghz ~3Ghz
