i have P5B deluxe board, E6600, with dominator PC6400C4D (2x1024) with ASUS EN8800 GTX on board
My question is
is it justifiable to switch from P5B to ASUS Striker Extreme or to Commando, i have all teh options available with me, and yes i am looking to shift to SLI some time in future, and would be looking to drag E6600 to 3 Ghz or more, suggest please
I don't think you would see much of a difference by switching boards.
You'd see some difference in benchmarks, 3dmark etc.
Wait till you go SLI, the new board will be cheaper.
I'm not sure, but when you go SLI with 2 8800GTXs, you may have a bottle neck with the E6600. Hope you have a huge PSU for that. You'll need 4 +12 rails just for the 88's.
