Hello,

Does anyone know how to push 802.1x configuration into Windows XP in windows
2000 Active Directory environment ? windows 2003 GPO has this additional
feature under computer configuration and I did not manage to find it in
windows 2000 AD.

thanks

If you install the Windows Server 2003 adminpak.msi on one of your XP
workstations you should be able to create it from there.

Actually, 802.11 Wireless Policy, if that's what you're referring to,
requires a schema upgrade in a Win2k AD environment to Server 2003 because
the policy is stored as msieee802.11 objects, which are only supported in AD
2003. The 2003 adminkpak will not help in this situation.

hi darrent,

thank you very much for your info, I have upgraded my win2k schema and
finally found the extra wirelless 802.11 policy under the computer policy.
before the schema being upgraded, I tried using 2003 adminpack to remotely
create GPO for this policy and did not manage to find this setting.

thanks
