I hear that the heatsink/fan is not so good and leads to heat problems and artifacts etc. Can anyone confirm this? I really want to get this card but I hate to get one and have it burn up on me.

I just got this very card. I was worried about heat as well. I went out and got a ARCTIC COOLING Accelero X2 aftermarket cooler. It works "pretty well" but it's so tall and large that I can't close the side of my case anymore and have to leave it off. Sigh, so it's either "go back to the old cooler" and hope for the best (but get my case back) or stick with the new cooler and leave the thing as it is all open and sech.
