Frigging things popping up when you scroll over them.

The intellitext popups are bad enough, but I do NOT want talking smileys and I sure as hell don't wan't "Hey I'm a fast M'fer and these shoes will make you just like me......if I f'd your momma".

What's next, ads popping up when you post? :sarcastic:

Where are you seeing those?

Not seeing 'em. God bless Firefox and AdBlock plus.

I'm just thinking that it's not intellitext but malware left over from his 'antivirus 2009' run in.

Well, they gonna cure the global economy so if that finishes off today then maybe they can help him tomorrow? [/overly optimistic]

Easy hosts file solution: Spybot S&D immunise option - Really is a nice clean solution that works well for non tech friends.

Reply to audiovoodoo

Yeah, I like Spybot as well.

I know it's the end, in more than one way, but I just wanted to say SPOT on.

Once in a while I'll get the annoying talking smiley emoticon talking when I roll the mouse pointer over the ad.
I forget the website it happens on. I think it's a porn site.
Other than that I don't have any issues. I used IE7 then used IE8 beta, RC and now RTM. I've use IE since version 5.
I use internet options in IE to set up what I consider optimal use for browsing.

That fcukin laughing skeleton thing I get at home browsing this forum is irritating.

Reply to Vokofpolisiekar

The annoying one yesterday was an ad for running shoes that expanded, flash style, to cover about 1/4 of the page I had open (Estimate maybe 600x300p?)

The animated smileys have been on the top as well.

This is not a pop up as in a seperate window pop up, but something that pops up or expands within the page itself. Also, this being the work machine, I can't install jack. So no Firefox, adblockers, SS+D, or anything beyond self-contained exe's...

And the Intellitext still bugs me.

It was at the top banner part some two weeks ago. Every time the mouse pointer scrolled over I'd get the laughing.

Didn't happen at work though - just at home.

I think this craptop is so old it can't understand what adverts are...

Good Evening Chunt Funter.

There is a reason you don't see the ads. Pen1s enlargement pills are for those who have pen1s.

Hope this helps.

Tom.

That's not true

*checks trousers*

See, there is one. Look...It even folds up to be a paper plane.

Good Evening Chunt Funter.

They're not your trousers, are they?.

Hope this helps.

Good evening Tom_Smart.

As you can plainy see, it is a mighty p3nis.

If you look at it at a certain angle you can turn it into a kite.

Hope this helps.

Good Evening Chunt Funter.

That wouldn't qualify as a small clit.

Hope this helps.

Pepper and a microscope ought to yield visual results.

Reply to Vokofpolisiekar

Are you suggesting I incapacitate him with pepper spray and prepare a biopsy?

Reply to Tom_Smart

No, he sprinkles pepper on his thingy. While scoping through the microscope he can then use tweezers to catch it if it sneezes.

Too late, I've already started with the bacon slicer.

Reply to Tom_Smart

Bacon slicer?? I thought you'd need to find a sharp razor to split something that thin.
