Help me with this concern. If I buy the VG171 Viewsonic LCD monitor, will I be able to play games without the ghost appearance? On the website, the repsonse time reveals to be 40 ms. Is this LCD monitor suitable for games? How does this compare to CRT monitors?
Do you recommend any 17 inch LCD game-suitable monitors (at a reasonable price)?
Also, will someone compare the advantages/disadvantages/uses of DVI and Analog.
By the way, I will have a Geforce 4 ti 4400 card.

How about the Samsung 170t? How does this compare?

People say good things about the 170T. It has 25ms response time. VG171 has too high a response time.

If your main use of the monitor will be gaming, I will recomend you a CRT. I have a 25ns LCD. CRTs have better contrast, wich makes images more vibrant (IMO). My LCD tend to get a little washed out, when things are moving to fast - again the colors on a CRT looks more true. I am happy with my LCD, but if gaming was my no1, I probably wouldn't be.

First, it's 25ms, it response time were ns, it'd be a lot faster, and there would be no ghosting. Which LCD do i uhave- have u realized certain 25s response time lcd's have slower white/black to grey responses than others? IMO, he should wait a bit for FFD to be implemented- I'm then gonna buy a 21/24" LCD w/ FFD. here's a question- anyone think 24"/21" is too extreme?

Nothing is too extreme :) Eventually I want to game off of a 51" HDTV...now that would be nice...

I have a 21" monitor and let me say there is nothing better than screen restate!!

As for the HDTV, I've been looking into 'em for a little bit. One really cool feature is the two tuner PIP - which will allow you to watch TV and surf at the same time, or hook two PS2's or two xbox's up at the same time, or...

I have the Eizo L365.

If you read the revies you will notice they state the image isn't as clear beyond 25 fps.

What do you mean by that? Isn't as clear as what? Also 25ms is not beyond 25ms, and it will always be subjective, and to me, my impression weight heavyer than some reviewers. By beyond do you mean more than 25ms (beyond timewise) or less than 25ms (beyond speedwise)?

What I'm saying is when playing a movie or game, once it starts going at more than 25 Frame Per Second, the image isn't as clear.

Ok, but my monitor is 25ms (not more than), and it isn't clear. Very good for, what I use it for though.
