Images no longer transfer completely to Word

I no longer can cut and paste an image into a word doc.
The only thing that appears in the doc. is a bottom strip of the picture. No matter what I do, I can't enlarge to get the whole image.

What happens when you try it put it in through the Insert menu instead of using cut and paste? Your problem highlights the issue of using the Cut command - if it fails properly to paste and you no longer have the original, you're stuck!

Where is the Insert Menu? I have an Insert key, but no drop down menu with Insert.

I'm guessing you use a more up to date version of Word to mine - I'm sticking with 2003 for a long as I can. The top line of 2007 and 2010 - and probably 32013 as well - may have changed but some of the old functionalities still work so try your Alt key with I then release the Alt key an press P. That may give you a dialog box to insert a picture from a file.
