I went to my little local computer repair/sales shop for a SATA cable and saw a stack of boxed Intel processors. Curious, I walked over and looked at them. They were all Pentium D 930s and were priced at $19.95 each. Would it be worth it to buy a bunch of these and try to sell them on Ebay? :D

If I were you, I would probably buy hundred. You can sell them for at least $70. I hope that you'll give us (the memebers of this forum) a discount

Add 100 for me
laughing aside; it's very strange, they could be either stolen or something like... $20... I'd rush buy one and flip open the heat spreader to check there are two dies inside.

Even if refurbished, they're easily worth twice that. Still, I have a strong hunch this merchandise is hot.

I dunno. I remember walking into computer shows back in 97 and finding buckets full of DXII100s, PI 133s, etc for $5.00 a pop

Yes, but were those same CPUs available online for eight times the price (on Newegg for $159.00 right now)?

I'll check with them this Saturday and question the counter guy. I guess I could easily ebay them with a nice low starting bid price of $30-40.

Haha, the joke is on me. I should have looked more closely the first time I saw those boxes. They're 19.95 alright, but there's no processor!!! The store is selling the hsf only!! What a rip!

Well I think $20 is a bit high. Unless you need a space heater for your computer room.
If they could sell them for more on ebay, dont you think they would?
As usual, you read the title, then posted your crap. Start reading the other posts dumb*ss. Your post is moot.
