Hello guys, I havent been here for a while, so Hi :)
I want to build a new rig. I was thinking of a Intel core duo E6600.
I heared they are amazing @ overclocking, so thats what i am planning to do ( 3.0ghz at least or higher), so wich motherboard shall i pick?( good for overclock price doesnt really matter (ofc not the most expensives) , with stable vcores/good oc/ stable/ wide range in Vdimm volts etc) and wich ram Pc6400 1GB or 2GB u guys shall i pick and what cooler is good?
Thanks in advance

The eVGA 680i has really great oc options. By all means DDR2 6400 memory and the Tuniq tower 120 is about the best cooler around.
I am running the E6600 at 3600 with a vCore of 1.4312. Idle temps are about 41 and Orthos load temps are in high 50's.

I think the evga 680i is great as well. As for the fan my zalman 7900 led is my baby. Also the corsair ram dominator series is specially designed for nvidia's chipsets well a partnership for special features anyway. The ram I have has been over clocked to almost 500 mhz at the same timings. So there is a good start. I am able to get up to 3.4ghz which is wear i stopped. I also couldn't get it 100 percent stable I had some issues in 3dmark but the cpu itself was just fine, benchmarks burn in etc but once again 3dmark had issues. I backed it off and all was well at 2.95, so i am there with a e6300 using that setup with the ram at 490 mhz.
