Hello,
I have had my windows vista 32bit homebuilt computer for about 3 months now, and everything has been going well, expect lately when I've tried to shut down the computer will turn off and while its turning off right when the fans are about to stop spinning, the computer turns right back on again and it happens everytime. The only way to turn it off is manual, but thats not the way it should be.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Zach

When facing problems you don't fully understand I find it helpful to see if they can be looked at in a different way.

Now imagine your computer to be some cnut in a bar who won't, despite you asking nicely, shut the fcuk up.

You see, the solution is now perfectly clear.

Kick its fcuking head in. The little b@stard will soon shut the fcuk down.

I would check your power options in control panel myself.

Again, another "innocent" floats to the bottom to be consumed by the dwellers therein.

Are we attracting lead-paint eaters, or is it just my refusal to wear Internet Deodorant?

I think it's Tom's desire for more friends...

What would you know of friends?

Reply to Tom_Smart

I know I have you as my best friend forever.

*hugs Tom*

I'm your best friend and, unless I could piss petrol, I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire.

I would trust you to throw yourself in front of that flaming car and save my wonderful, youthful skin.

I'd use nettles to wipe my arse before I had any contact with you.

You are just saying that, you lucky dickens you.

Guys, let's try to help Zman instead of having a little war in his thread. Zman, from what I can understand, there's something wrong with your motherboard. Switch a motherboard and the problem should be gone.

I guess that's the kind of help people deserve when they post a question like the OP here...

I'll try and help.

What you both should do is pull the AC cord of your computer out. After that leave it out and thus stay away. :hello:

Q: My car won't start, what should I do?

A: Replace the engine, that has to be it. If it isn't, replace the chassis. If THAT isn't it, try the wiper fluid.
