It was aweful tonight. All major network showed their program in SD.
When I saw Juarassic Park on NBC, I thought I would be in HD. What a
disappointment!!! I was happier when ABC showed Fast & Furous in HD.
That was the only HD program all night among the 3 major networks.

It literally showed that HDTV is not ready for primetime.

I too was shocked to see that JP was not broadcast in HD.
Are the program execs asleep at the wheel or what?
What a waste.

And speaking of waste - was it really necessary to rebroadcast Dick Van Dyke
and Carol Burnett after only a couple of weeks. Ditto on Friends. which
btw, was not rebroadcast in HD.

I told my kids to watch it on DVD instead.

Since the first broadcast of the series finale wasn't HD, and *no* other
episode has been in HD, why would you expect a repeat to be in HD?

Well, when my wife switched the channel on the original broadcast, I could
have sworn it was in HD as my set was not in stretch mode.

However, since we were surfing and I didn't watch the show (I'm gathering
you did), then I stand corrected.

I recorded the original finale using my PC, and recorded the repeat as well
because damn NBC ran so far over on the first showing. I pad, but not *that*
much.

As far as I could tell, they were identical except for commercials (although
I didn't watch every minute), and both had black bars on the sides of the
1080i that my local NBC sends.
