i built a machine with the same stuff 3 days ago. i used 2gb (2x1024) corsair xms2 pc 6400 ddr2 800mhz and it runs impressively. set me back by 190 quid like but if your in the us then you'll get it a lot cheaper. the processors ace, it laughs at everything i throw at it.
Look at Kingston ValuRAM on Newegg. Don't just not cosider it because it's "value" and has no heatsinks. I have this memory in the EXACT same mobo, with the same CPU. It works unbelievably well! PM for more.

Just how far do you plan on overclocking your E6600?
If you keep it under 3.6GHz you could do just fine with the cheapest DDR2 800 ram avaliable.
After that you will have to push your FSB, and therefore your ram, past 400MHz (800MHz DDR @ 1:1).
Personaly I perfer Corsair for performance ram.
I am running this in my system @1101MHz no problem.
Lion, the Samsung would be the better buy.
It will give you better performance and more overclocking head room than the Kingston will.
