I could use any last minute help, even if it means major changes. Especially welcome are any Power Supply, Video Card, or Optical Drive comments.

My main goal is to have an efficient system that Has all components working at about the same level, after the below mentioned future upgrades.

Thanks to all that have helped up to this point.

GIGABYTE 965P-DQ6 (rev.2.0) Motherboard

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6600 CPU (overclocked)

Corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5 (2 Gigs Total)

OCZ ProXStream 1000W PSU

Thermaltake Armor LCS VE2000BWS Case (Liquid Cooled)

BFGTech 8800 GTX Water Cooled Edition Video Card

Western Digital Raptor WD1500AD SATA/150NCQ 150GB 16MB Cache Hard Drive

undecided on Optical Drive

Windows XP

Anticipated Upgrades:

Quad Core

Windows Vista (after bugs are worked out)

2 more Corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5 DDR2 800 (to bring Memory total to 4 gigs)

2nd BFGTech 8800 GTX Water Cooled Edition Video Card (to bring # of Video Cards to 2)

2nd Western Digital Raptor WD1500AD SATA/150NCQ 150GB 16MB Cache Hard Drive (to bring total hard drive space to 300GB)

It is possible that this machine exceeds my current needs, but that's half the fun  That said, I would like to avoid any black sheep in the configuration.

Thx. You guys rock.

You keep calling this DDR2-800, it's accually DDR2-1066.
Means it goes super-fast.

Nice build out...

I did a recently did a build with the E6600 and it is nice in its own right.

Looks like a nice machine.

Might want to try the Liteon Lightscribe 20X DVD +-R/RW @Newegg for only $35.00. It was a nice addition.

The QVL for the motherboard reads as follows:

Qualified Vendors List (QVL)
Model Name: GA-965P-DQ6 (rev. 2.0) DDR2 800

Size: 1GB

Module Supplier: CORSAIR

Module P/N: CM2x1024-8500C5

SS/DS: DS

Is it correct to assume that the TWIN2X2048-8500C5 is the same as two of the above?

Thanks for the correction Apple_Fritters. DDR2-1066. I'm also not sure what DS means; I tried looking it up w/o any luck.

Anything else look out of place? The video card was the most recent adjustment, and I'm wondering if it makes sense when looking at everything else.

See it's all in the part number: CM2x1024-8500C5

2x1024...two sticks of one gigabyte RAM
8500.......PC2-8500 AKA DDR2-1066
C5..........CAS latency 5
DS..........double sided

Also confirmed here DDR2-1066.

That really is a nice machine.
