Wow, but getting your drivers license and all don't you two think you'll be out exploring the roads not in playing games.

Note to self: stay off road on Prozac's birthday.

The 7900 is from nVidia, not ATI
Well I have an ATI Geforce 9700 GT PRO

Ah the good 'ol XTs. Almost as good as their FX series.
I just wonder how much power the DDR3 version will consume, to see if I should just go for a 8800 gts
cause having to buy another powersupply could hurt
but who knows, I might end buying that extra powersupply just for videocards from coolermaster

Screw off! You deserve a 8800XT.

I though this topic was dead.
Just like the XTs...

the Xts won't be dead if this is true.

I was talking about an nVidia XT, which they have proven to be a rip off, such as a 6800XT.
XT on ATI is good, but not on nVidia.
I thought you were talking about ATI's XT. Sorry.
Don't worry.

I think my FX7900GTX owns your ATI in any scenario. Its also DX18 compatible, so watch out!
dx 18? 8O hmm. That's interesting. In what year are you? Tell me more about dx 18 if you can
I have a 5600XT
*Buries head in shame*
F*cking model numbers. why can't ATI, or nvidia for that matter, come up with something better and more original than the x2k series or the 8xxx series??
anything is better. there could be a line-up based on planets or moons. A line up based on animals or gods, or heck, come up with better or different numbers, not just a continuation. How about the new ATI A1 series?
Blah, gfx card marketing people suck.
Your right. The names of videocards can be very confusing especially if you don't know much about them, like cell phone names.
Peet
YES! The ATI Razr!!1!!
I've thought about that too - If nVidia keeps the same names, the next generation will be the 9800s. That sounds a lot like the Radeon 9800s. They've gotta think of something new....soon.

Can Mercedes, Acura, Lincoln, Jaguar etc do the same...
I really despise letters for actual names, as long as the Mustang doesn't become MST, sounds like a tax.

i alwasys like to get prozacs blood bioling with the xt remarks
PUNK!

They should keep it up, because then my 9800 Pro will become super-powerful and gain a new lease on life!
That's a paddlin' !!
So what do we dub the next Nvidia card? The Nvidia-stupidly-fast-but-stupidly-overpriced???
If NV do call them 9800s, I can forsee a lot of people selling their old Radeons for more than they are worth...
This could be another problem too especially for those people who think I will buy a brand new 9800 nvidia videocard and he gets an ati 9800 because he didn't specified the manufacturer, or he got tricked.

We like to hate one another here and there.
Simple observation..
Isn't Asus going to begin selling/shipping their..
A8Jr laptop with a X2300 Ati card?

Someone give us benchmarks!

Actually 2 things to consider, the next card will be 65nm and it will likely have a slightly more mature implementation (for chip layout) of the stream processors according to early rumours.
This translates into smaller chips, and larger yields (baring ridiculous overclocks) and that should translate into lower costs per card for the end user. Of course at that level it's also about more than cost as many of these things sell at a loss and it's all about marketing.
Guess we'll have to wait and see, but I think nVidia will have their Stupid-Fast, AMD-ATi will have their InsAne-Fast and then we'll still just have the Bitchin'-Fast!

im tellin mommy
I'll take it!
That one requires 74amps/1.7kw output and a buzooka blown ATX case, right? Though, will my CPU be able to keep up with it...
well i knew when it was a video card thread there was a good change of that picture.....
sorry if i am off topic
Does anyone know if a 8800 GTX can fit in an Armor JR. case?
thanks
