Hi there!

A rather simple question, how does domain security policy differ from a
normal group policy related to the security settings?

The domain security policy (default domain policy) has a bunch of standard
security settings already set by default unlike a new gpo that is completely
blank. does this answer your question?

Ah yes quite so. Was actually already treating it as a default level of
security, which could be overrided by a GPO. Thanks a bunch for the
confirmation.
