Hi
How does one up load back up data from a CD? This senario assumes that the
existing data has been lost or corropted; for example: My documents,
favorites etc. Thanks.

How did you back it up?

Depends on the backup tool. If the data was written in a non-compressed
format, you simply copy it from CD back to where ever you like. However, if
the data is compressed, you'll need to install and run the restore portion
of the backup tool.

If you simply copied files & folders to the cd just copy them back again.
You'll need to reset all the file attributes, as copying from cd to hdd
turns on the "read-only" attribute.

If you used a backup program to back up files to the external data source
(CD, Zip, external HDD, other IDE HDD etc) and used a backup program
(Windows Backup, Norton Ghost, etc) you need to use that particular program
to restore the files..
