XBL Gamertag recovery problem

So i had my friend recover my xboxlive profile on his console to get the rest of the cog tags on gears 1, and when i tried to recover it back, it got about 3/4 done, and a message popped up that said xboxlive signup is currently unavailable, plaese try again later. Can anyone tell me what is wrong, or what i have to do to get my profile back? Thanks in advance.

I got a pc - but fcuk me it's a biatch to stay up to speed on the tech. TBH, I got a PC just for CoH and Silent Hunter. Other than that, FPS is dull to me and sports just can't be better than on the leaf blower.... errr, Xbox.

I get where SS is coming from. Consoles are making PC games restrictive seeing that "next gen" console games these days are used to port to the PC. But looking at my taste and then what I pay for and the time it lasts (ie sport games) the console is the only way in that regard.

I can't stand the port. It has really marred games like L4D (no server list? Only "chatrooms" and groups?).

And I sure as hell don't want a game that needs a gamepad to play right (What was the series with "Snake" in it?).

My wife bought me the 360. Some games are fun on it, like Burnout Revenge (which recently came as a whole package for the PC I believe...), Dead Rising, Fable, or some others. But the best games they just aren't focusing on anymore.

the whole point of a CONSOLE was to be able to have someone over at your place PLAYING AT THE SAME TIME. Most of them now seem to concentrate on hawking XBL and forcing you to play with a bunch of strangers that you are randomly paired with (unless you put them on your very limited and clunky "friends" system).

Unfortunately, there seems to be a flood of console owners making it harder to make and market PC titles........

And it is SO much fun talking with Juvies that say that a mouse is no better for FPS than a controller.

But the less time you have been here, and the more innane the question (ESPECIALLY if there is another forum section that deals SPECIFICALLY WITH QUESTIONS LIKE YOURS) the more abuse you will get for asking about recovering a frigging USELESS EXCUSE FOR IMPORTANCE as a "gamertag".
