AMD vs. Intel continued.

Well first off I must say thank you to all of you who gave help. So lets just say I'm thinking of getting a computer that will be pretty neat right now and do alright in say 2 years, AMD or Intel? Or just wait till something sweet comes along?

I don't want to overclock, scares the crap out of me and I don't have the know how to do it. Just want it to run games well when paired with a 7900 Gt...which of course isn't blazin' sweet but decent for greg's punny wallet size.

OOH! Sorry for all the questions but I don't really know where else to ask them. Would it be worth it to upgrade from a amd 64 3200+ to say an amd 64 x2 4600? Would the difference be huge or just kind of huge?
