how to configure group policy in win2000

i have a small business server and it is new i dont have an idea how to
configure and restrict the users to not access to certain folders and cdrom
etc... so
please help me on this or just guide me or give me some links so that i can
go there and solve my difficulties.

I think the simplest answer would be to set the security on the relevant
folders (right click, properties, security) Remove everybody you don't want,
add those that you do!
I'd also recommend some reading material - Active Directory for dummies (if
you're using it) and a windows 2000/3 server admin book - lots on Amazon

I would do this a slightly different way. If your organization is more than
30 people, I would create groups (Do a google search for specifics) add users
to groups, and THEN add groups to folders with permissions. Remember, always
allow domain Admins group to have full control. While it will take longer to
set up, in the long run it will be easier to administer.
