Ice box PC case, my first build.

I had been thinking about getting a water cooled case, but figured why not just use a freezer. It costs about the same or less.

A fridge/freezer costs about $100 & a small Dehumidifier is only $50 + maybe $20 bucks for a hygro-thermometer.

Has to get the chip etc colder than a water-cooled case.

Probably would have to raise the temperature of the case before I shut down the system so nothing would break from the rapid temperature change. While I haven’t given this a lot of thought, it seems fairly doable.


Any thoughts or ideas?

Ok after a little more research it looks like this idea wont work. At least until I can find a freezer with a compressor that can run all the time.
