Anybody know what the #1 optical drive is for somebody who's not budget conscious?

I just want the coolest high end drive that has great quality and will do my laundry for me.... okay, maybe just the dishes... I'm building my first system and I would like to do it without immediate regrets.

asus 1608P3S - a great all rounder, check it out at cdfreaks reviews. and its only 50 bux too or 65 boxed.

if u really want absolute best, read up on plextor drives. they cost 3-4 more than the market, but damn there good. they come first in nearly every aspect - quality, speed, features (unfortunately not price)

plextors are high up there... price-wise and quality-wise.
They used to have slot loading ones too, which I thought was cool but too expensive.
