I'm currently using the Audiovox PPC-6600 with Mobile 2003SE. My company
uses a hardware spam filter that requires Pop/Smtp clients to use a different
port for smtp. In using the Outlook client and POP3 configuration on mobile
outlook, even after changing the port using the mail.server.com:xx port
change, the mail is still sent to the spam filter on port 25 and blocked (I
can see it in the log). Laptop users with Outlook XP or 2003 do not have
problems using the different port number.....any suggestions what the problem
could be?? The phone just doesn't seem to want to send on the new port!
Thanks for the help!

HAve you tried a soft reset after introducing the change? Also, does the
server requires SSL or just a different port?

Yes, I've tried soft reset a few times....as the change was made a few days
ago and it does not require SSL, just a different port number which our
firewall then forwards directly to our Exchange 2000 server, while all
traffic on port 25 goes to our Spam Filter.

Thanks for the help!

What about authentication? Same user/password as the pop3 access (this can't
be change on Windows Mobile 2003).

Yep, same user/password as pop3. I'm stumped...tried everything and looked
everywhere for a solution....has anyone else seen this actually work on this
phone??

Thanks,
Dave
