notepad xp printing problem

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics (More info?)

when trying to print in Notepad (XP) I get the following message:
"Page too small to print one line. Try printing using smaller font."

I have tried using smaller font and have tested typing one word on the page,
and even leaving it blank. I still get the same message.

Can't find anything on the net about this problem.

Assistance is much appreciated.

I had the exact same problem. Here's how I fixed it. In notepad under the file menu, choose page setup. I changed the paper from "letter" to legal. then tried to print. the printer complained because it didn't do legal size. I then changed page setup back from "legal" to "letter" Bam! it's now working again.
