I have a pentium 4 651 CPU 3.4ghz 05A
and an asus p5rd1-vm microatx motherboard.
The CPU spec at Intel says "memory DDR2" but i think its just reccommended memory.
The motherboard is DDR 400..but in manual it tell me to check site for DDR2.. (i thought all DDR2 was 240 pin)
My questions are -
1-If this will work.. does it have a built in bottleneck like it looks like it would have?
2-Why would this motherboard have 1066 FSB cabability and only have DDR400 single channel capability? (elsewhere in manual it says it can do 'dual channel').. but not in their sales blurb..
3- is this too much processor for this board?
thank you
