I am looking for a mid priced DLP front projector and I've heard
decent reviews but since I've not seen the product myself I was
wondering if anyone in this group has seen this projector in action or
has actually purchased this unit.

Lots of web reviews on this unit....generally well received in the DLP
"Under $5000" crowd......

I recently installed the Benq 8700 with a 88 by 52 screen. The
performance is excellent. The display, brightness and colors are
comparable with any rear projection TV.
