Hello!

I have been having this issue ever since I have put together my new computer. I have been searching online for solutions for two days new but have not found anything solid.

Everytime I try to search, or seek, for a specific part in the video the picture will freeze, then after 45 sec to 2 1/2 min the video will finally start again where I chose it to play from. This only happens with HD videos 720 and 1080. The 480 it seeks instantly and there is no problem. I normally use Media Player Classic but this happens with all players.

I highly doubt it is my CPU specs as you can see below. This is beginning to drive me crazy!! I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!!

Specs:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
i7 960 OC @ 3.84 (stable)
12 GB Dominator DDR3 1600
GTX 470 x2 in SLI
1TB Seagate Barrcuda 7200 RPM

That can happen if the video file isn't complete. For example if you download a video file in 10 parts from an Internet file hosting service and you only get the first 9 parts, the resulting video will play just fine but attempts to search through it will take a long time.

Thanks! The only thing is though, I know for sure that they are complete.
