Photoshop and Dreamweaver are also a good combination.

I still use Notepad for writing HTML, along with Paint Shop Pro for creating/editing/animating images, Cool 3d for Text headings and Swish for Flash animations.

Using Style Sheets, it's simple to make major design changes to sites, doesn't take much time at all.

I'm only an amateur though, no corporate branding here

I suppose, but i'm not very good so it takes me a long time.

For the HTML part, any program or text editor will do. I believe that the professional look is more of an art that cant be created by getting the latest and greatest software. Good graphics really make the difference. I personally use Adobe GoLive, and I think it rox!

For the graphics, my personal favourite is Corel Draw 8 & Corel PhotoPaint 8. Most people like Adobe products better, but I've tried them, and I like Corel better. So if you dont like the Adobe products try Corel, and if you dont like Corel, try Adobe.

All things must surely have to end...
