I currently have a psu that sounds like a jet engine. In a bid to make my machine quieter I fancy changing it to something the A. Is near silent B. will last for a while in terms of going in new kit.

I have a AMD 3000+ barton atm.. so nothing fancy but I reckon with in a year I will dual SLi etc etc

I have no plans to OC.

Any recommendations from experience?

At present I have an Athlon 3000+ barton, Asus mobo (can't remember but it was the best at the time), x850xt graphics card, 2x HDD (Sata), 1 cd drive, 1 cd/dvd writer, Coolermaster Aero 7+ cpu fan, G15 kb, g5 mouse, wireless nic.. that's all I can think that draws power.

As for future spec?!?! No idea as yet. Probably with in a year a full upgrade. So new cpu, mobo, ram, graphics card. Probably spend no more than £1000 ($2000 ish) so it will be good but not top end. Was thinking dual graphics cards but have not seen any reviews to convince me to do it yet.

I'll third (?) it. Quite a solid PSU, I ordered one last monday from buy.com for $96 after MIR (free shipping). Dunno if you can buy it in the UK though.
