Last night I installed a Zalman VF900 onto my 7600GT. I am really happy with the results. I used the fan speed controller to set the RPM at minimum. I have the fan plugged into the motherboard, so it runs all the time, but at min RPM it is all but inaudible. After about an hour of playing WoW, the GPU temp was only 43C. With the stock cooler it would jump to close to 70C anytime there was 3D content, and was around 60C with XP desktop.

Anyone know if there is a 3-pin to 2-pin connector available? I would like to figure out how to plug the fan into the graphics card so that it can turn it on and off by itself.

Yeah I think the shipping will cost more than the actual part. Maybe I'll buy some more stuff to make it worthwhile :)

When are you gonna update your avatar to 10,000 Days?

Yeah, performance-pc has good selection on a lot of bits and pieces kind of things. Whenever I'm looking for a $2.00 part from there I usually end up spending $30-$40 on a bunch of stuff. :D
