Looking for a PPC phone

Currently I have a Treo 600 that I am less than pleased with mostly because
it's Palm and not PPC. I saw an non-palm or ppc based phone ericcson T60
years ago that I like because it fit sideways on your belt and faced inward
really hugging your belt. Universal swivel clips don't do that. The
problem I have always had with palm and ppc phones is that they are so bulky
and the SX66 appears as if it will be even more bulky than the treo 600 but
then it has bluetooth and wifi which is really nice.

I think what I need is a PPC phone for which I can find a tightly hugging
sideways belt clip that faces inward. This will take at least some of the
bulkyness away and perhaps even improve signal strenght since I will no
longer need to keep it in my pocket.

Does anyone know if I can do that with the Seimens SX66 found here.

If not is there a better option?

More about : ppc phone

Audiovox 6600. Verizon.

Not too bad with a slide out keyboard.

trpenner,

I have an unlocked Imate GSM/GPRS PDA2k using T-Mobile as
my service provider. The PDA2k is identical to the SX66
in all ways except that it has Built-in wifi, whereas the
Verizon SX66 does not (They want you to pay for their hi-
speed wifi...but you can still get an SD Wifi card) To
address your issue, I highly recommend this phone with a
bluetooth headset. It is a full size PDA so it is bigger
than the Treo 6xx and all cell phones. However, using a
bluetooth heaset all but eliminates the bulk factor
because you don't have to pull out the PDA when you want
to talk on the phone. I orginally had a Ericcson T60 w/bt
to connect to my HP Ipaq..but was tired of carrying two
devices.
I also, bought the Treo 600 for my wife and like it as
well. But if you are a power user and willing to fork
over the $$ you will not be disappointed.

Essential must haves for this PPC Phone:
Microsoft Voice 1.5
Bluetooth Headset
Bluetooth GPS
XCPUScaler - CPU Optimizer/battery management
- Get full days work of heavy use with power to spare.
- Gives processor ability to auto scale from 100mhz-472mhz
based on use..which increases battery performance.

Hope this helps.
