Hey, I am new around here so feel free to laugh at my stupidity.
I came across a deal (or maybe what I thought was a deal) a while ago through Intel's "Retail Edge" program. For $220 I got a Intel C2D e6300 + Intel DG965wh m/b + Windows Vista Ultimate.
I built my system last Dec with the mentioned board and CPU also with...
2GB OCZ Dual Channel DDR2 - 667Mhz
NVidia GeForce 7950 GTOC (512mb GDDR3)
The system runs well, no problems what so ever. But I came across some of the OC'ing articles and now am really keen on pushing my 1.8 to 2.6. Now I went to BIOS to try to attempt to OC, and it doesn't seem possible. So I dove into the forums and found conflicting info (In this thread 3rd post). I tried to find some reviews for my board, more conflicting info. Some say there is no OC ability, some say there is minimal. So what's the truth here? Is my board useless for trying to OC, or is it possible?
If my board is useless, what's a reccomendation for a good but "cost efficient" board to replace my current one?
Thanks.
