how do you get gigabit ethernet to work on the p5b-D? i plugged a cable in and nothing happens, is there a driver i need to install?

You can get the driver off Asus website or the cd that came with the motherboard. Also make sure that Ethernet option in bios is enabled.

Yes, of course you need a driver. If you can, install from the CD first, then update from the ASUS website.
