CPU installation help please

I have the Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe mobo & an AMD Athlon 64 4000+ CPU+HSF for it, I was told by AMD I should use one of these thermal compounds:

Bergquist / TIC-3000 Grease
Shin Etsu / G751 Grease
Shin Etsu / X23-7762 Grease
Shin Etsu / X23-7783D Grease
Thermoset, Lord CPD / TC-350 Grease

This will be my first time installing a CPU+HSF & was hoping someone can tell me which would be best & easy for a 1st timer to apply?

BTW, the HSF has some compound on it from previous usage. I've used q-tips & a dry-smooth cloth to clean it, but it still has a stain-like spot on it. Does it really matter if I get this spot out or not?

To remove the spot use rubbing alcohol and a coffee filter.
Personally I use Arctic Silver 5, which many consider the best on the market. Here are some application instructions:

Any of those thermal compounds will be fine
