I have a d845ebg2 intel board, which is like 4-5 years old

I recently bought This Hard drive to keep my old rig going for a few months before I build a new computer.

But I don't think my motherboard has the connection for a SATA hard drive...

Here's a picture of the motherboard - d845ebg2 model

I already ordered the hard drive, is it possible for me to use it?

if any more info is needed I'll try my best to post it.

If you just want the one drive, you could also try an IDE to SATA adapter. I've never used one, so you'll want to read up on a couple briefly to see if there are any serious caveats.

If you go with the adapter - be careful to select the correct one. It sounds like you need to connect a SATA drive to an IDE connection on the MB. The previous message suggest a SATA to IDE adapter and provided a link on newegg. However the device listed as SATA to IDE adpater was for connecting a SATA MB to and IDE drive - just the opposite of what I think you need. You apparently need an IDE to SATA connector - but read the specs to ensure it is the correct adapter.
Also in regard to PCI controller card vs. adapter- do you have an available IDE connector open?

Your motherboard does not have the SATA connector.

Your best bet would be just like Slicessoul said to get a PCI sata controller.

or

Return the SATA HD and get a IDE HD and hopefully they wont charge you a restocking fee. Call them and maybe explain your situation. They might be nice afterall. But since you will bulid your system soon you can keep it.
