Greets all-
I legally purchased NWN when it first came out, and played for awhile,
then got on to other stuff- reformatted and reinstalled Windows about
10 times since then and when we moved, lost the manual.
Did not have the cdkey.ini file backed up (doh!)
but did find a cdkeygen that allowed me to install and play.
However- I now bought SoU and HoTU, both installed, but when I
go to play, it asks for the original NWN Cdkey, and will not accept
the keygen version. I've been using a friends to play since he was
intelligent enough not to lose his manual (lol) but now we want to
multplay together and I won't be able to since the game will see 2 of
the same keys.
Any idea's or know where to find a keygen that makes keys that HoTU
accepts?

More about : hotu original cdkey

Buy a used copy of NWN to get a legal CD key. That's the only way you're
going to be able to play multiplayer.

Ummm. Yeah. Well I was trying to avoid that since I already spent hard
earned money on the game. That is my last resort. Thanks tho.

Yeah and their policy is too bad. Numerous people on the boards have
stated they were told nothing bioware could do and to buy another
copy. I don't blame them. I think it's Atari's policy, but it's pretty
annoying. Matter solved tho since i'm tired of trying and so caved and
found another copy (new if you can believe it) at amazon for $8.20
shipped. guess it's worth the aggrevation but it still burns me up.
Thanks for the thoughts friends.

Make sure that you register this copy with Bioware. If you ever loose
the manual again you can retrieve the cd key from your profile online.

Thanks! That's interesting, and good news for those of us who have a bad
habit of loosing things.

Too bad Microsoft doesn't have an equally enlightened policy.
