Some are out now, like the new KV-30HS420, but most of them will come out
anywhere from late July through early September

I ordered a new KD-34XBR960 set from Sony. It was listed with other
Sony HDTV sets as Sony offered a $400 cash rebate plus 3 or 4 DVD
movies. I called and found you also had to buy a Select Home Theater
within a couple months. They had a HT-2000DP on backorder for
$399.95. I ordered it and if I receive the check the Surround Sound
would be for free. Looks like a nice system. It comes with a DVD
player and VCR combo, 510 watts total and 5 speakers with a powered
sub-woofer. Sony did list 4 or 5 more expensive Home Theaters up to
$700 if you want the best.

The salesman said the sets may ship in late June or early July. This
set is a very slight improvement over the KV-34XBR910 model. This new
one does include the new HDMI digital video connector. It still
weights in at 190 lbs. We just put together a nice looking Sauder
Mission style TV cabinet. Sure looks nice, large wide center table
type with two tall towers with shelves for all the goodies. It is
designed to hold a TV up to 250 lbs. I plan to have the Sony
delivery/installer man to mount the set and connect it up. On the
component shelves I took the doors to a glass man and had them
removed. Me and the wife installed a black fiberglass screen instead
using that press in rubber line. Found it at Lowes and looks better
than you would thing. I like my equipment to stay cool as possible.

I'm located in the southwest and had Dish install the slightly larger
500 dish for free. It did bring up my received signal from 88 to 100.
A week later another dish installer brought out and installed the 811
HDTV receiver a week ago, that cost $149 with a years HDTV
commitment.

Now if the new Sony set would hurry and get here.
